The Best Free Things to do in Dallas

If you’re trying to tour Dallas on a budget, there’s nothing better than hoofing it around the beautiful neighborhoods of Deep Ellum, known for its intriguing musical history.

More than 100 years ago, jazz and blues magicians got their big break in the music venues and theaters that line the streets of the neighborhood. Take a stroll and grab a drink in the home of the city’s music center.

If the weather doesn’t permit walking around, try one of the city’s many free transportation options for a quick view of the architectural sites. For a vintage trolley experience, grab the McKinney Avenue Trolley through downtown. The trolley stops at several interesting points like the West Village, Hotel Zaza, Shops at The Crescent, and the Dallas Arts District.
